Teeth Whitening: Now that we’re getting out of the house again, we want to look our best when we gather with friends and family. If that person who smiles back at you from the mirror causes you to recoil in horror, we at Integrity Dental can help.

During the past couple of months, Australians have stuck close to home. A lot of us have binged on coffee, soft drinks, wine — and even tobacco — to handle the anxiety and boredom that we felt about the coronavirus.

Unfortunately, those habits can, over time, cause your teeth to turn darker than normal from the stains that these substances cause. That’s particularly true if you lost yourself in your Netflix binge and forgot to brush your teeth.

Now that dental offices are up and running again, it’s time to treat yourself to teeth whitening. Here at Integrity, we have two options for you: in-office whitening and a take-home treatment.

At-Home Teeth Whitening

If you haven’t done so yet, you’ll need to come to our Dural or Baulkham Hills office for your dentist to take an impression of your teeth. From that impression, we’ll create custom-fitted whitening trays.

When they’re finished, you’ll take them and some of our whitening gel home. You’ll need to wear them for one hour every day for 5-7 days. The trays are clear and custom-fitted to your teeth and you wear them preferably for an hour just before you go to bed at night. After the five to seven days are up, voila! You’ll have teeth shades whiter than they are now.

In-Office Teeth Whitening

Our in-office whitening is even faster. You’ll come in, we’ll apply the whitening gel, and then we’ll accelerate the whitening process with blue light in three to four 15-minute cycles. This treatment works so well that your teeth might become six to eight shades lighter in only one treatment.

Keep Your Teeth White and Healthy With Better Dental Health

After you get your teeth sparkling white again, make sure you keep them that way. Avoiding smoking as well as beverages that stain your teeth or strip away the enamel can go a long way toward maintaining that lovely smile. And — even better — your teeth will stay healthier between cleanings.
